ONE PERSON TO DEVELOP? SEND ONE.
No need to commission an entire programme. Book the places you need, whether that's one person or several.
OPEN LOCAL WORKSHOPS
Practical, face-to-face development closer to where people work.
Launching in Oxfordshire.

WHY OPEN LOCAL?
Not every organisation has twelve people who need the same development at the same time.
And sending one person a long way for a workshop can mean travel time, travel costs and unnecessary disruption.
Learning Local offers another option.
No need to commission an entire programme. Book the places you need, whether that's one person or several.
Keeping development local means less time spent travelling, lower travel costs and a more convenient way to access face-to-face development.
Participants develop alongside people from other organisations. Different workplaces bring different experiences and ideas into the room.
WHY FACE-TO-FACE?
Knowledge. Information. Processes. Compliance. Sometimes digital learning is exactly the right answer.
But knowing how a difficult conversation should work isn't the same as having one. Knowing a coaching model isn't the same as coaching someone. Watching feedback being given isn't the same as finding the words yourself and seeing how another person responds.
Technology and AI can create increasingly sophisticated ways to practise and have a valuable role to play. But for human skills, there is still enormous value in being in a room with other people: having conversations, responding in the moment, receiving real-time feedback, reflecting and trying again.
That's why our Open Local Workshops are face-to-face.
BEYOND THE WORKSHOP
A few hours in a room can create understanding, confidence and an opportunity to practise. But what happens afterwards matters just as much. Learning Local workshops connect development in the room with application back at work.
Useful ideas and practical tools. Realistic situations, conversation, feedback and another go.
Use the tools in real situations. Consider what worked, what didn't and what to do differently.
Use prompts, resources and support to keep developing.
Better equipped when it matters.
PRACTICAL SUPPORT AFTER THE WORKSHOP
Depending on the workshop, participants may leave with practical support such as:
Simple crib sheets, checklists or conversation guides to use at the point of need.
Practical opportunities to use new skills back at work.
Simple prompts to help managers support development and continue the conversation.
Useful follow-up resources, short videos or refreshers available when they're needed.
Attendance tells us someone was there. The real question is whether they're better equipped to use the skill when they need it.
READY WHEN IT MATTERS.DEVELOPMENT AREAS
These are examples, not a fixed course catalogue. We start by understanding what your people need to do, then shape the development around that need.
OXFORDSHIRE LAUNCH
We're planning our first Oxfordshire Open Local Workshop programme now. If there's a particular development need you'd like to see included, we'd like to hear from you.
